We stayed in Bergen for two weeks and booked a 'Norway in a nutshell' day trip. The trip included the famous Flåm Railway and a fjord cruise. It was not cheap, but hey, nothing in Norway is cheap anyway! We came to see the fjords, and it was all worth it.
The Flåm railway has been described as one of Europe's most beautiful train journeys. It is a real positive experience to see Norway from a different perspective. At some point, the train would stop for us to go outside to stretch our legs and take pictures of the beautiful nature and waterfalls. Then, a dancing waterfall woman would appear and give us a spectacular dance - great entertainment.
The view was breathtaking!
I really regret that we could not go hiking or paddling whilst staying in Bergen.
