Going to the UK to attend a summer school

Exciting news awaits!!

I am attending the International Summer School at the University of Liverpool. It is a six-week programme offering a range of academic modules that can complement or expand our existing study area.

I chose the five ECTS credit modules and the following subjects: enterprise, global marketing, bringing business strategy to life, quantitative data analysis and management, supply chain management, project management, diversity management, technological innovation and English language. The classes so far are great and the tutors are very friendly. We have had some group projects and presentations already and everyone is very nice!

This summer school is part of my business studies for the bachelor's degree, and I am so motivated to learn and develop my skills whilst meeting new friends from around the world and travelling around the UK.

You might ask why Liverpool and my answer will be, why not 🙂 After a careful study of the programme at the University of Liverpool, there are plenty of benefits, such as:

  • The University of Liverpool has the best teaching and research areas.
  • The programme's flexibility - you can study for three or six weeks.
  • The ECTS credits are internationally recognised.
  • The social programme looks impressive, and it includes an evening meal, a city tour with a free drink in a local café/bar, and a one-day trip to North Wales.
  • We become members of the alum network upon completing the programme.

I am staying at the Aparthotel Adagio in Liverpool city centre. It is a very lovely place with a full kitchenette. Perfect for a six-week stay.

It has been a dream of mine to visit Liverpool! Liverpool is a unique city with a very fascinating culture. It is also the city of my favourite football club and where the Beatles came from! I just love this city so much. It is so alive, and honestly, the people are lovely. They are so, so friendly.

I will also visit Edinburgh, Wales, Manchester and London during this time. That is the plan; I hope everything goes well.
